Meet Zingaro II. She is 1 of 35 Oyster 485’s ever built, each having a bit different layout. This particular boat is a center cockpit ‘raised deck’ salon with owner’s cabin in the rear. The boat has three cabins with comfortable sleeping for 7, two heads with showers, a very safe U-shaped galley for cooking underway in nearly any sea state, and a light and airy salon for comfy living at anchor. She is one of the better boats I have ever sailed, comfortable on any point of sail. Her center cockpit keeps the crew safe and dry.
The 485 was designed by Holman and Pye to be handled by a couple as a safe long distance open ocean cruising boat. Admired as one of the most desirable sea kindly offshore cruising boats on the market. The 485 layout provides great privacy with two well-appointed staterooms on either end of the boat. The spacious saloon and open plan galley midships is a comfortable living area that is light and airy with loads of clever storage areas.
